The cartoon says it all.

Beating my deadline today for the release of
construction plans for the Proposed OGH-Cypress
Tower made my Monday (take note: 1st day of the week)
a very tiring day.  What a way to start the week.

To add more to the stress is the ever "power tripping"
boss that makes your Monday the worst day ever!!!
Although I didn't get the full-blow of the attack of the boss,
but I still got some few hits.  It had always been that way.
And I still didn't get the reason why the negative vibes
on a Monday morning.
I may be tired today...but nothing beats a cup of coffee

on a very energy-draining office day.

A cup in hand, you know
it’s worth your while ...

Oh my Mama!

Teaching my mom how to use her Ipod Touch to open her FB Account for the Nth Time is a bit frustrating.  My Patience is being tested.  And in this situation, I am ready to surrender.  I really can't stand it that I have to teach it over and over again.  But that's how it is.

My mom is 63 years old already, and these gadgets that are popping out like mushrooms are really not my mom's forte.  I understand that as it appears to us how easy to use a cellphone or an Ipod, for them (the oldies) it is one heck of an instruction manual needed to be deciphered.  For example, it took her months or even a year just to master how to use her cellphone.  And now, she has 2 cellphones on hand.  Bravo to you Mama!  It was last year of December when my sister gave her the 1st Gen Ipod Touch she originally owned after buying herself a new Ipod Touch 4th Gen.  It has been almost 3 months and mom is still not getting used to the touch-touch generation.

Let's see how long will it take her to master and remember how to use her I-pod.

Yey, Summer!

http://apps.facebook.com/moodweather

My thoughts about my 3 "possible" summer outing:

Make that 2 only, since I am sure that my summer with my cousins (Nasnips) will definitely push through.
Although I am ot sure where.  But still, summer with Nasnips will definitely be fun and 100% bonding-time.

My Proposed Zambales Overnight Trip is still on the process of convincing more "iskolars" to participate.
But hopefully this plan turns out well.

I just overheard my boss having talks about our company outing...seems like Caliraya is on top of the choices.
Then again, I am really hoping that this too will turn into reality since we haven't been in a company outing for ages!

Feeling the summer breeze!

The Power Puff Girls saved the day!

I got home in an excruciating back pain.  It felt like I had carried tons of rice sack on it.  It hurts so much that I asked my mom to massage it a bit after I had dinner.

Today is not a good day, really!  Well, aside from having an extreme back pain, I also had gas pains since this morning.  To add more the damage, I am bit nauseous also since the earthquake (felt it hard since we are @ the 17th Floor of the Tytana Center).

So instead of having my usual nightly dose of caffeine today, I decided to ask for my mom's ginseng tea.  But before I got to drink it, I went inside our room to watch Project Runway on ETC Channel, then comes Power Puff Girls on Cartoon Network.  I felt nostalgic seeing Blossom, Buttercup & Bubbles on the boob tube.  But I have to admit, my eyes were fixed watching it and was laying on bed for quiet some time.  Then I had the ginseng tea.  After several minutes, when I got up...I am feeling less pain.  I guess the tea worked.

And the Power Puff Girls saved the day....
...once more!!!

A better taste...

...of Buko Pandan :)

My brother made his own version of "Buko Pandan" this afternoon.  Inspired by the one that we had last Friday...he ended up walking under the extreme heat of the sun before lunch to buy the buko.  Upon arriving back at home, he immediately prepare all the stuffs needed to complete the dessert with the help of our mom.  Right after the gelatin had set, and all the ingredients had been mixed together...he had to grab a cup already even if it is not yet cold.

I have to say...great job young man because it is better than the Buko Pandan we had last Friday.

Pig-Out

Dirty Ice Cream

Jollibee Delivery

Food Tripping is one my favorite things to do.

Haven't had a dirty ice cream for ages.  It is called dirty, simply because it is not the usual cold treat we buy on the grocery store.  Uhm...it is not really "dirty-dirty" but let's just say not the cleanest ice cream on the planet.  Hahaha!

Ordering meals on Jollibee has been part of our Saturdays most of the time.  Since our mom is not at home to cook a snack for us, we usually end up dialing this fast food's delivery hotline.  Jollibee is the thoughest rival of McDonalds here in the Philippines.  I guess this the only place that Ronald McDonald rank 2nd Place.  I ordered Palabok Meal since I have been craving for it the whole week + Cheese Burger Meal.  I have to admit that their fries is the only thing that is not better than Mcdo.  I still haven't eaten my burger, saving it for later.

But I am still not sure though if we will still hit the road and have something from Starbucks @ Alabang.

All time favorites!
Ice cream and  burger.

This time, not the usual

Instead of my usual order of Chocolate Frappuccino and a slice of Oreo Cheese cake...

...I decided to grab Sausage and Pepper Turn-over (my newest favorite) plus Signature Hot Chocolate.

For a Change.

Dry-Cleaned

The gown I wore on my 18th birthday...

After the daughter of my mom's friend borrowed it last month...

Is now back from dry-cleaning...

Mind you, I paid for the dry-cleaning service...

The ruffles at the end of the gown was dirty and a bit muddy!

Of course, since my aunt from the states made it for me...

This gown is more special than any other gowns I have in my closet...

I have to act fast!  So I asked my other aunt to bring it to the laundry shop...

And so now, I got it back!

*There will never be a 2nd time!

Selling Like Hotcakes

Tickets for Bruno Mars' Concert...
...Almost Sold-Out.

We we're supposed to watch it on Patron Seats but the tickets were selling like hotcakes.

We ended up reserving 2 tickets @ Upper Box A - 317.  That's the best among the seats left.

Good thing I still got a chance to watch the concert.

Lunch Date

A day before Valentines....

I had a very special lunch date with my family.

We had Shakey's Delivery instead of the Seaside Lunch Treat since my younger brother is not feeling well.

Even if the first plan didn't pushed through...we still had a fun time together.

We still ate outside...literally, just right outside the house.  We had our lunch at the garage.

...Advance Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Birthday, Mommy!

Colored.

The world is full of colors!

Having a white-collar job is a good thing...although not all the time it is fun.  There are several times where I am browned off with the tasks I am assigned to.  But still I see myself in the black even if at times I am feeling blue about the result of things.  Good thing I have my family and cousins with me ready to paint the town red!  Road trip, Food trip, Bowling, Paint ball, playing poker and watching the silver screen are some of our favorite activities together.  When one of the "nasnips" come home from abroad, everybody's tickled pink.  We roll out the red carpet and party!  Besides, it is better to see this kaleidoscope world through a rose-coloured spectacles rather than giving it a colorless approach.

Always find that rainbow
deep down in your heart.

They rock my world!

Dear Azkals,

Thanks for scoring 2 goals in your game versus the Mongolian Football Team.  You have given us a new reason to be proud of being a "Filipino."

Good Game!  I enjoyed watching you run and score.  Those dirt on your shirts are all worth it.  And the fireworks display after the game adds glamour to the win.  The whole crowd singing "Pinoy Ako" in chorus gave me goose-bumps.

Your newest supporter,

Melenski

For a person who works in China Town,
Chinese New Year is equals to overflowing of Tikoy.
