Proud to be a Villamer

What a way to end the week!!!

Happy 21st Birthday Ayie!

We had a wonderful party - complete with balloons and cakes.
Ayie dancing Otso-otso, drinking 12oz water nonstop and spelling his surname "VILLAMER"
using his behind - the 3 Balloon Consequences he had.
Then the whole family sang "Happy Birthday!".

Motocross Race with the Rellosa Brothers

2nd day of the 1st Leg of Motocross Race Tournament.

Just seeing my cousins (2nd degree cousins, to be exact) speed up on the race track is still an adrenaline rush.
Cheering up for them to win, or just even place, is what we have in mind.
Every turn on the berm has been so exciting since it's the best place where a rider
can overtake his opponent.
All their jumps wowed the crowd.

In the end...they still got a prize.
The youngest of the 3 Rellosa Brothers placed first on his race,
while on the Pro Race where the eldest and the middle brother raced
finished 3rd and 4th, respectively.

Proud to be a "Villamer!"

Race to Finish Line - the Motocross Way

What an adrenaline rush!

I had been a huge fan of motocross.  Watching Travis Pastrana doing his thing over the ramp is my favorite part of every X-Games.  Most of the time, my eyes are glued on Freestyle Motocross (FMX) where the motorcycle riders attempt to impress judges with jumps and stunts.  Never seen a FMX rider in action...always on TV.

But this time I got a chance to see several stunts done right in front of me.  Although the event I went to wasn't for FMX riding but for a Motocross (MX) Race.

Today, January 29 of year 2011, together with my youngest brother (Patrcik), Ariel (nasnip) and Cy (my cousin's bf)...we went to Molino Race Track to see my three (3) cousins (2nd degree) race off-road.  Along with their dirt bikes, I have seen them sped on track and jump high above ramps.

Good thing the sun hasn't been shining all his might...the weather has been good to us.  And the wind has been cooperative.

Anyway,  we've seen almost all of the race.  We saw two race for each one of them.  Jepoy (the youngest among the 3 Rellosa brothers), finished 2nd in one of the race and 3rd on the other one.  JC (the eldest) races alongside Noy (middle brother) in both races that we've seen.  Although we haven't got a chance to see their 1st race that well since we were just arriving when it began.  The last race was with JC and Noy, and I think JC finished 4th while Noy on 5th place.  I felt proud seeing my cousins on the track, even if they are my 2nd degree cousins already.

On this last race, we have seen a couple of MX riders doing some FMX tricks as they fly above the ramps.  I saw a couple of riders whip their bike sideways.  And I saw one doing a "heel clicker".  Although these tricks are still amateurs compared to X-Gamers like Travis and Carey Hart's Superman and Cliff Hangers tricks, I still commend these guys doing their thing.

Today is just the 1st day.  We will see more action tomorrow.

You almost feel like you could fly without the plane.

***My cousins on the race are Aunt Carina and Uncle Enzo's sons.  Aunt Carina is my mom's 1st cousin.  Aunt Carina's mother is the sister of my mother's father.***

Post Scriptum
It's raining outside as I wind this blog.  I hope for a better weather tomorrow.
     Happy Birthday, Ayie!!!

Detoxify (a.s.a.p)

My Rock Band Drum Set...behind is the guitar (not-working)

To play my PS3 is to detoxify.

It's been months since I last held my PS3 joysticks nor beat the drum set with the Rock Band's drum stick.

I have to admit...my work schedule and demands had been piled up, towering over my head.

All I do is sleep or just plain bumming when I am at home at weekends.

But I think I have to refresh my system.  Restart through playing PS3!

And since my RB Guitar set is busted (kinda sucks, though), all I can play with is the drum set.

I think I need to buy a new one (guitar).

I will grab my new Rock Band Guitar set, as soon as possible!

First Log

Why just now?

Although I told myself that only Parker Pen touches my Starbucks Planner...my first log on my wood-shade book was from a gel-pen.

I know, it was a downgrade act but I gotta have to write things down.  Or it might slip through my memory gap and my schedules might end up down the drain.

I am not really good in planning my time...but I think I have to try and start logging down every meeting, commitments, and deadlines I have.  May it be for work or for nasnips' gala.

I need to buy my pen!

Moneda

Newest Philippine Peso.

My youngest brother who works in a bank went home today with "this" 2 paper bills.

Our initial reaction when we saw it in the news...we were like, "Parang yung HK money na noh!?"

The colors are somewhat similar with HK's money.  But the size is still the same with ours.

This is the first time we saw the actual latest 50php and 20php, and so Mama and I got so excited.

We we're both asking for it.  But my mom won, she even asks PJ to give her additional "dinero". (hahaha!)

I like today's Philippine Peso.

 Mama's Post on Facebook

It's kinda amusing when I see my mother use her I-pod Touch.  Her's is my sister's 1st ever I-touch (16gb - 1st Gen).  It was given to her when me and ate bought our 4th Gen I-pod Touch last December 23, 2010.

Often times, she uses it to search for the latest Korean Dramas.  With the help of "Safari" and "Google", she can read all the news about her favorite Korean Actorrs, Actresses, and Dramas.

White Pizza

@ California Pizza Kitchen

Craving for Pasta....we decided to to eat at CPK.
But before we ended up eating there,
we thought of having dinner @ Pepper Lunch.

Good choice!  I love their Spaghetti Bolognese.
Fair price.  I think it's affordable.
There single serving is enough to make one's tummy full.
And that's what it did to mine.

But this White Pizza is something new for my taste buds.
There's a lot of cheese going in there.
It tastes good.  Although a little different from the usual pizza we always have.
But all in all, I would still love to have another bite of this cheese-filled pie.

Aaaargh!!!

My Monster World Account in action.

"Kinain mo lahat!!!" (spoken with a very angry tone)

My monster helper got hungry and she decided to eat all my Candy Canes.

I have 12 plots planted with candy canes.  I was supposed to harvest it tonight and it will yield double in number.

But sadly, i lost all 12 of it.  All had gone to waste.

Aaaargh!!!

Kaya naman pala...

Sablay-sablay na lines ni Patrick June
...hindi ka nag-architecture. (Nyahaha!!!)

***Talking to Patrick June Villamer Salvador, my youngest brother***

Tol, ano ba yan!?
Sablay-sablay naman yung linya mo.
Hindi pantay-pantay.
Yung Number 2 - parang nagkamali pa.

(Eh number 4 kasi ang nalagay ko eh, nyahaha!)

Ok lang ba yan?  Eh document yan sa work mo?
Kaya naman pala hindi ka nag Engineering or Architecture.
Sabihin mo nalang sa kanila, you tried kaso sumusuko sa'yo
ang mga lines.

Nyahaha!!!

(Laughtrip talaga ako kagabi.  Ito sana ang ibloblog ko kagabi eh.
Kung hindi lang naginarte ang Itouch ko.)

Tambay-Mode

Ate Lheng with her oreo cheesecake and frappucino drink.
Starbucks Coffee + Oreo Cheesecake

Nawa'y maging effective.

Hahaha!!!

Take Home Work

Literally meaning = Home Work

I am trying to remember my notes regarding Architectural Acoustics.
I was in 3rd year when I designed a small Auditorium.

Now...I have to go to office on a Saturday and went home late,
just to finish this "home work - not  mine".

Pft! (deep sigh)

Deadlines are fast approaching.
So we have to work double-time, better yet, triple-time.
My other officemates opt to stay overnight at the office,
Just to finish the job.
As for me, I chose to go home and sleep on my bed.
And not on the office couch.

Let's see what tomorrow will bring.
Good vibes and Positive energy...I hope.

Pens and Papers

Riverview Mansion - Architectural Sketches

This is what made me busy today.

I have to check all the locations of Doors and Windows and
update it on the sheet.  Worst part of it, it's a 32-storey Condominium Building.

Sounds simple....but definitely complicated.

I'd rather have my tables full of beams and framings than doors and windows.

***Although I am not really against  it, I just don't
want the "finding the locations"  part.***

Lactose Intolerant

"Mama, coffee please."

Most of other people...they prefer milk at night to help them get into sleep.
In my case...I prefer my daily dose of caffeine @ night.
Sipping a "not-so-hot" coffee that my mom made for me every night  has been part of my system.
Although there are times that I'd rather drink "choco na gatas" or gatas na choco" (whichever you prefer to call it) than "nescafe".

I don't really think I am Lactose Intolerant...because I always put powdered milk in my "champorado mix".  It just so happens that I love coffee than milk, even when I was a kid.  I remember,  I usually have  rice poured with black coffee (without creamer) as my breakfast.

Movie Night

My ticket for the film "The Tourist".  We've seen the film @ MOA - Center Stage

THE TOURIST

Johnny DeppJohnny Depp...
Angelina JolieAngelina Jolie...
Paul BettanyPaul Bettany...
Inspector John Acheson
Timothy DaltonTimothy Dalton...
Chief Inspector Jones

Genre:Action/Drama/Thriller

*****
Director:       Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck
*****

It all started when he met a woman-  that is the tagline of this interesting film.
Here are 5 Reason why I love this movie:

1.  I am a huge Angelina Jolie fan.  Team- Angelina, Yeah!  Although I am not really into Johnny Depp...I love to see their on-screen chemistry.

2.  It is set in Venice...love the Architecture...just love the place.

3.  Angelina's clothes are to die for.  And her shoes...lovely.

4.  I love Action.  I like drama.  Thriller...I can deal with that.  But I didn't expect that this film will be packed with surprises.  (I'd say you better watch the film rather than I reveal what these surprises are and spoil it for you.)  As the film rolls, the prior information I had about the storyline of the film was completely changed. In the end, what the trailer had fed me was just a pint size of what the film is.

5.  Entertaining.

***  It took us almost 3 hours just to get to the cinema...due to heavy traffic and a hard time finding a parking slot.  Normally, it will be just an hour.  But it's all worth-it.  I had a delicious dinner - Pasta @ Italiani's.  And watched another entertaining film. ***

Ulam for the day...

...Siomai

I was not feeling well today, that's why I ended up not coming to the office.
I texted my boss and asked our secretary to give the documents I prepared last night, just in case he needed it already.
I then helped my mom in preparing today's "ulam".....Siomai.  We've prepared 2 sets of it.  One is with the traditional siomai wrapper and the other one is with the dumpling wrapper...the later ended up looking like an empanada.

But as always...it tastes good.

Eye glasses on means deadline to beat

Photo of the Day: Eye glasses on = deadline to beat

I usually wear my eye glasses at the office.  And most of the time I use it when my eyes are glued to the computer doing Architectural and Structural drawings.

Welcoming 2011

While everybody is busy preparing things for their Media Noche, I am so busy updating my iPod playlist.  I was just making sure that we'll have a blast with the songs to be played for that night.  The speakers are out and ready to pound your eardrums out.

1st song = B.E.P.'s "The Time" (1st track in their The Beginning Album)

Patrick baked Chocolate Cupcakes.  He tried to put a special chocolate inside...nearly got it, but failed.  But the cupcake itself tastes good.  He also fried chicken lollipops and whip some gravy that goes with it.  Mama prepared Fruit Salad, Vietnamese Noodles and another new pasta recipe on our table.  The spaghetti on the table was given to us by our neighbor.  The Media Noche wouldn't be complete without the 13 round fruits.

Last song = Katy Perry.'s "Fireworks"

We've got 3 aerial shots and a fountain.  These fireworks are worth the wait in that long line @ SM Molino - Dragon Fireworks.  Though they costs more that the normal fireworks seen on the market, I'll definitely save up to have it on the next new year celebration.

Then...there's our New Year's camwhoring session.  As always, we had fun doing different poses in front of the camera.  Poses = Rock On \m/; Japan-Japan (^_^)V; Wacky and serious mode.

With all those activities we've got in our sleeves...we didn't have our Traditional Media Noche Walk this Year 2011.  We slept late though...but we didn't got to visit Uncle Milo and Tatay Tino's place.  I guess we got all too tired with all the jumping and picture taking @ home.

Once again, Happy New Year everyone.
