Thursday: Date with Harry Potter

A dose of Harry Potter for the very last time on the big screen.  Well, I can always watch the past movies at home because we have the complete set, except for the last two films that we still need to purchase.

IMAX was like a flea market when the lights are still on.  But when it was already dark and the screen lit up and the sounds began to play, the whole IMAX crowd roared with excitement and applauded.  It was a hair-raising experience!  And a very memorable one.

The film is indeed an unforgettable one.  It made us all laugh (spoiler alert!) because of Professor McGonagall's Locomotor Spell and many more comedic punchlines coming from the wizards.  It made us feel all the possible feelings a man can feel.  There is the pain of losing someone, the fear of dying and facing it wholeheartedly, the chance to live and prolonged life, the strength to battle your worst enemy, the courage to step up for your friend, and the love of the people who believe.

Number of times I cried???  Not sure, but I can name three scenes (in random order) that made me teary-eyed and made the hairs at the back of my neck stand-up.  One scene is when the Hogwarts Professors began their enchantments to protect the school grounds from the Death Eaters that made me cry. It made my visions blurry for a bit but that didn't stopped me from feeling their utmost effort to make a fortress of protective enchantments for Hogwarts.  Another is when all the Death Eaters and Voldemort's Army releases lights (a sort of magical spell) from their wands aiming the Hogwarts Castle.  Last and not the least is the final Epic Battle of Tom Riddle (with his last living soul) and Harry Potter (The boy who lived).

And when the film ended, IMAX roared once again.  The crowd cheered and applauded.  Some even whistled with delight.  It all made us happy...but sad too.

I guess my  last statement need no
further explanation. :)
